Microsoft has started to send invites for its next upcoming event on 6th October in New York City. The invite doesn’t hint at anything other than a message stating ” we have some exciting news to share about Windows 10 devices”. So, all you can make out of this message is that there are new Windows 10 devices which will see the light on October 6th.
What to expect from Microsoft October 6th event in New York city? Here is a short list of devices that we think Microsoft may announce in its next event.
Windows 10 Mobile: Before the launch of Windows 10 Mobile powered smartphones, Microsoft may talk about the all new Windows 10 OS for mobile phones.
Windows 10 Mobile Smartphones: Microsoft will be announcing its next Lumia flagship hopefully at the event. The two rumored upcoming Lumia’s are the Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950 XL. Both the devices have reportedly leaked previously in images giving an idea about how the devices may look at the time of launch.
The rumored specifications of these smartphones include Lumia 950 featuring 5.2-inch 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution display, powered by a Snapdragon 808 processor, paired with 3GB of RAM along with a 3000 mAh battery. The Lumia 950XL rumored to have a 5.7-inch display, powered by a Snapdragon 810 Octa-core processor, paired with 3GB of RAM and a 3300 mAh battery.
Both the smartphones will have a 20-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera for video calling needs. We are also hoping to spot the new USB C port in the upcoming Lumia’s.
Apart from the smartphones, Microsoft may also announce the successor of Surface 3 in the form of Surface 4 Pro. The next rumored announcement for the event is Band 2, the successor of Band 1 launched last year.
